March Portrait Competition
A big thank you to Steffan Nicholson for judging our portrait competition.
Steffan’s comments were really helpful, especially for those of us who are not wholly comfortable with portrait photography. Following his comments and selections, Steffan treated us to a show of some of his own photography. I think we were all impressed by his collection – his concert portraits and shots were quite amazing.
Judging:
The format meant that the top four members were placed, rather than simply the top four individual images. Two members shone in this category, Nick Gibbon and Iain Evans. Both of them had both of their submissions selected by Steffan. They took 1st and 2nd places respectively, with Sue West and Veronica Watson picking up 3rd and 4th. Results:
Sadly, we have no images (yet) to display from Nick and Iain (1st and 2nd). But worry not — Sue’s and Veronica’s images, placed 3rd and 4th, are a proper treat.

May Meeting
May Photoshoot: We have no regular meeting in May. Instead we have a photoshoot arranged for 21st May. Our model, Amelia, comes highly recommended. We meet by the river in Stamford, weather permitting. (The railway station is our standby if conditions dictate). 7-9pm.
